There is a greater emphasis placed on data-based questions related to experimental techniques.
There is now more focus on engineering physics (rotational mechanics and thermodynamics), relativity and astrophysics.
Students need to focus more on the development of conceptual understanding which will allow them to establish links between various areas of the subject, and apply skills to new or different contexts in dynamic ways.
